Editorial Standards & Review Charter

Guidelines upholding scientific rigor, empirical reproducibility, and objective reporting in athletic movement research.

1. Editorial Mission & Scientific Scope

The Virilant Motion Dynamics Lab operates as an independent research portal dedicated to advancing public knowledge in human movement kinematics, running ergonomics, aerobic energy metabolism, and athletic durability.

All published monographs, systematic reviews, and assessment tools are created with the objective of translating empirical biomechanical data into actionable protocols for endurance practitioners, coaches, and sports science enthusiasts.

2. Evidence Grading & Review Protocol

Our editorial board reviews published literature against standard evidence hierarchies:

  • Systematic Reviews & Meta-Analyses: High-weight synthesized evidence on motion efficiency and injury prevention.
  • Randomized Controlled & Crossover Kinematic Trials: Laboratory studies utilizing synchronized 3D optical tracking, force plates, and electromyography.
  • Empirical Observational Cohorts: Longitudinal athlete tracking documenting cadence adjustments and aerobic threshold shifts.

3. Non-Commercial Academic Independence

Virilant is operated under MORITZ UEBLER (Org.nr: 935 150 795, Verdal, Norway). To maintain objective integrity:

  • We accept zero commercial endorsements or sponsored placements for footwear manufacturers, wearable gadgets, or commercial sports products.
  • All research evaluations reflect solely the kinematic and physiological data measured in our laboratory or established in peer-reviewed literature.
  • Monographs and data calculators are made freely available to the public.

4. Corrections & Errata Policy

Science is an iterative discipline. If an error of fact, mathematical calculation, or citation misattribution is identified in any Virilant monograph:

  • The editorial board investigates the notice within 5 business days.
  • Minor typographical corrections are applied directly with a revision timestamp at the bottom of the article.
  • Substantive data adjustments are flagged with an explicit Erratum Notice detailing the original text and the corrected value.

Readers and researchers who spot potential inaccuracies may submit errata reports directly via [email protected].

5. Educational Use Disclaimer
