The Institute & Infrastructure

Bridging high-resolution biomechanical kinematics, metabolic modeling, and sustainable athletic longevity from our facility in Verdal, Norway.

Our Research Mission

Founded under the directorship of Moritz Alexander Uebler within the registered entity MORITZ UEBLER (Org.nr: 935 150 795), the Virilant Motion Dynamics Lab operates with a singular focus: establishing quantitative, replicable models of human gait efficiency and athletic durability.

Modern athletic training frequently suffers from polarized dogmas or unvalidated heuristics. Our laboratory provides empirical clarity through objective kinematic analysis, ground reaction vector profiling, and sub-maximal aerobic efficiency assessments.

Key Commitment: All research publications, mathematical models, and biomechanical calculators developed at Virilant are published as open-access resources for coaches, physical therapists, and endurance athletes worldwide.

Laboratory Infrastructure & Instrumentation

Our facility at Granittvegen 1 in Verdal is outfitted with modern diagnostic instrumentation engineered for precision locomotion capture:

Diagnostic Modality Instrumentation Primary Clinical Application
3D Motion Capture 12-Camera High-Speed Optical Array (240 Hz) Joint angle kinematics, knee valgus/varus excursion, pelvic tilt.
Force Dynamometry Dual Triaxial In-Ground Force Plates (1200 Hz) Braking impulse, vertical loading rates, lateral shear distribution.
Metabolic Profiling Indirect Breath-by-Breath Calorimetry Zone 2 fat oxidation rates, respiratory exchange ratio (RER).
Electromyography 16-Channel Wireless Surface EMG (sEMG) Neuromuscular firing patterns, hamstring-to-quadriceps ratio.

Leadership & Advisory Governance

The institute's research agenda is governed by a multidisciplinary team combining biomechanical engineering, athletic conditioning, and physiological data modeling.
